Claire Turns One!

Thursday was Claire's first birthday! We can't believe how quickly the time is gone and what a beautiful little girl she is growing up to be. She is crawling anywhere she wants and is very expressive. She loves jewelry! A real girl's girl.

She wasn't sure about the cake, however. She wanted to touch the candle (just like her Aunt Rebecca, who shared her birthday). She didn't want to get her hands dirty. She even tried to lean in to taste the cupcake. After giving up on that, she allowed me to feed her a few bites, but that was it. Turns out, we didn't have to strip her down at all. She was nearly perfectly clean!

On Friday night, we took her to get her little ears pierced. So cute!

By the way, I posted more pictures of southern France from my latest trip onto our photo album. The weather was beautiful. The scenery and architecture breathtaking. Trust me, there are worst places to have to travel for business.
