Home, at Last!

After weeks of being on the road, Tony and the kids arrived back on Tuesday. I got to join up with them in Dallas and Abilene last week, and take a sidetrip for our 15th anniversary to Austin. Douglas was in my cousin's wedding (and did a fantastic job).

Tony and the kids visited his brother and family in Arkansas and some other dear friends, the Dawsons, at their lake house. We saw my childhood friend, Aimee, in Dallas, church friends, as well as the Prince family and a friends/colleagues Patrick, Cynthia, and Kendra in Austin. We met with one of our development partners for Remarkable Tributes and we created a new t-shirt store for my sister Rebecca called Casa Rebecca. Which reminds me that we got to see my sister and her kids, as well as my brother and his wife (which had good news - they are expecting!). We got to see a lot of aunts and uncles. Cousins, cousins and more cousins! Douglas and Claire were in heaven! Tony put something like 2,400 miles on a rental car and took cross-country flights with the kids - twice!

We had a good time, but can tell you we are happy to be home. We would be delighted to return the hospitality that was shown to us on this trip if anyone wants to get out of the heat and come to Oregon (where it wasn't even 70 degrees today)!

I just posted a lot of new photos to the Family Photo Album with more captions and stories. The kids are really growing up and proving to be super travelers!

Wow! You have really been on the go. Sounds like your kids are amazing travelers too.

Hope the rest of your summer shapes up nicely, before school begins.

Is Douglas excited for kindergarten? What an exciting time.
