This weekend was crazy busy. It started with dinner with our dear friends the Cooks on Friday night. Saturday was a leadership retreat for Westside Mothers of Preschoolers, while Tony and the kids went to "Big Truck Day" where kids get to climb all over buses, trucks, tractors, cranes, and public safety vehicles. Then church on Sunday and a Metro picnic at which we got to see lots of old friends, including Hamiltons, in from New Jersey, and the Whites, who just welcomed a baby daughter, Fiona (who at 2 weeks is already bigger than our 3 month old, Claire - wow!). By the way, we have some new family photos posted in the Photo Album (see right-hand navigation bar link). Before we left the eastside on Sunday, we went to Nanny and Poppy's place. My dad takes off this week for a visit to Texas and some house shopping as they are considering relocating there. On the drive over, Douglas had been asking us all about their plans and upon arrival greeted them with a question delivered in the tone of voice appropriate for a talk show host: "Are you tired of your place?" I am sure that my folks will never get tired of those cute questions!
I hope you had a good (and perhaps more relaxing than ours) weekend and that this coming week is fantastic!

It was great seeing you! It's pathetic that we don't get together more often.
