Douglas had been bugging us to go to the beach, so we finally got away today and went to Half Moon Bay. It wasn't very far at all and we really enjoyed Roosevelt Beach. The kids both got to walk in the sand. The weather was mild and the beach wasn't busy. Douglas drew sand pictures, built a little sand castle (next time we'll bring all the right supplies), and Claire enjoyed seeing and hearing ocean waves for the first time.We posted lots of new pictures to the Family Photo Album (see the link to the right), including pictures of Douglas' amazing sand drawings.
