Disneyland Memories

We just got back this evening from 4 great days at Disneyland (and California Adventure). Douglas had a fantastic time and Claire did really well (we traded off nap times). They both enjoyed riding the carousels (Claire would lean over and pat her horse to get them to go) and "It's a Small World." Douglas liked the Buzz Lightyear ride (where you got to shoot the evil emperor Zurg's targets with a blaster gun; since they kept score, Tony liked that ride as well). He also rode the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (4 times, I think), the Matterhorn, Soarin' Over California, and Star Tours (2 times). He even got to train to be a real Jedi knight and fight Darth Maul. The kids enjoyed the live show with Bear and the Big Blue House, saw the big parade (which Claire loved), heard bands play, and rode lots and lots of rides. So much fun!

One night after we left the park for dinner, Douglas asked me, "Mom, can we do the exact same thing we did today, tomorrow?" I chuckled and said he might want to try some new rides and he replied, "No, I would just like to do today again."

See the family photo album (link to the right) to see more photos!

I love to watch the kids, it is the best. Hunter LOVED the Buzz ride as well. It is a good thing we have Nathan to ride it with him like 10 times!
