Christmas Greetings!

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

You can read about our comings and goings of the past year here on this site. If that isn't enough, you can also connect to us on Facebook (Jennifer B. Davis and Tony Davis) for pictures and regular updates. Jennifer is also on LinkedIn, Plaxo, has another blog or two, and is on Twitter (@JenniferDavis). Be sure to check out our family photo album, too! I suppose that makes us geeks, but that just shows how committed we are to stay in touch with you!

I'll end this post with a few holiday-related stories and quotes from the kiddos.

Story 1: From the Mouth of Babes

Douglas: "Mommy, can we practice our song for Christmas? The ones that the kids will sing at church. You know the one O, Come and Be Faithful."

Story 2: Claire Sings Happy Birthday..well, sort of

We attended a birthday party on Sunday for a couple of our friends whose birthdays had been earlier in the week. The crew that was assembled included a lot of singers from our church Praise Team, so you have never heard a better, more elaborate version of "Happy Birthday" than the one we sang. It was complete with probably 6-part harmony and one of those thrill-your-ears big finishes including our soprano friend hitting a high note.

Claire was as enamoured as we were with the singing and was practicing it herself on the car ride home (complete with her own big finish). This is a toddler's version which only her immediate family can translate, but now that you know what she is singing I am sure you can figure it out. She alternated singing happy birthday to Daddy and to herself on the way home. We just need to teach her to sing it to Jesus and we can turn it into a Christmas carol.

Enjoy!
