For Valentine's Day, Douglas and I decided to "surprise" Daddy with a dinner. We shopped for things that were all red and pink in honor of the holiday. He picked out spaghetti sauce, red peppers for a salad, red apple for an appetizer, and strawberry milk for he and Claire to enjoy.He got into the apron that Nanny had made for him (it has space planet fabric on the pockets and his name embroidered on it) and learned how to carefully cut ingredients for a salad.
The bakery at Whole Foods personalized some sugar cookies for us (something my grandmother, Mano, used to do for us each year...and something we might make a tradition once we have all our baking supplies again).
