Douglas has been talking up a storm and is keeping us in stitches. Here are some of my favorites. When he wants to sleep in just his pajama bottoms, he tells me he wants his "belly on." When we pray for Nanny and Poppy (Jennifer's parents) at night, he always adds "and Sunny" (their dog).
The other night, he was demanding that I read him a book while he ate. I told him to ask nicely and say "Mommy, will you please read me a book?" He replied, "Mommy, read a book would please me." I don't think he meant exactly what he said, but it certainly wasn't what I expected.
He is nearly three (can you believe it?) and is a joy!
