We had a great weekend visiting a friend in beautiful Bend. For those of you who might not know, Bend is in Central Oregon and is known for being a recreational paradise: mountain biking and water sports in the summer and world-class skiing in the winter in the Cascade mountain range. We weren't nearly that ambitious, choosing instead of walk around town, throw rocks (Douglas' favorite), eat, hang-out, play at the park, visit a local state park and the High Desert Museum. In this picture, Douglas throws rocks into the river at Drake park near downtown. The poor ducks though he was throwing food.

Weekend in Bend

We have been to Bend and thought it was beautiful also. I'm sure it has grown and changed. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. I love your site.
